I normally stay away from serial killer type books but this one had me hooked from the first page. If you have to get up early in the morning, do not read this book--you will be useless from having stayed up all night reading since it's so engrossing, the characters engaging, the writing so seamless.
There is nothing PLAIN about Plain Jane.

Not normally a fan of creepy serial killer type books, I decided to brave this one a few pages in because I became completely hooked on West's fast-paced writing. The chemistry between the two main characters was fiery hot--and I was really glad to see a female character in a position of power who could think and hold her own. There's a totally unexpected twist that I did not see coming and I'm usually pretty good with that kind of thing. I left the lights on with this one--it had just enough of a thriller vibe to keep me on the edge of my seat. I was kinda bummed when it ended to be honest--not because of anything the author did--I just really enjoyed it and wanted more. I see a sequel. It was difficult for me to get into it since there were no zombies, but by the ending, she had me hooked. The character development was excellent. I really felt like I understood how a profiler could get into the mind of a serial killer.
